This evening, H.H. Pope Tawadros II attended the events of the Alexandria Youth Forum, held at the Church of Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph the Righteous in Smouha, Alexandria. His Holiness toured the various sections of the forum, which included artistic displays created by the church’s Safina Center for Creativity. These works highlighted the heritage and history of Alexandria, showcasing its most famous districts, saints, and notable figures.
The forum also featured various artistic and cultural works contributed by nine youth fellowships from different churches in Alexandria and educational centers. His Holiness listened to detailed explanations from each group.
He also watched a theatrical performance by the “Heroes of Faith’ team, which narrated the history of the epistles prior to the Council of Nicaea, in celebration of the 17th centennial of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea.
Pope Tawadros was accompanied by: H.G. Bishop Bavly (General Bishop of the Montaza Churches Sector), H.G. Bishop Hermina (General Bishop of the East Alexandria Churches Sector), Hegumen Abram Emil (General Deputy of the Patriarchate in Alexandria), the church’s priests and a number of priests from Alexandria.
