This morning, H.H. Pope Tawadros II met at the Papal Residence in Alexandria with the servants of the EIMI Center for Continuing Education. The meeting was attended by His Grace Bishop Bavly (General Bishop of the Montazah Churches Sector), H.G. Bishop Hermina (General Bishop of the East Alexandria Churches Sector), and Hegumen Abram Emil (the General Deputy of the Patriarchate in Alexandria).
The meeting included a speech by Hegumen Antonious Fahmy, the priest in charge of the center, in which he thanked His Holiness for his constant encouragement of education. He then presented the vision and mission of the program. Following that, a group of the center’s servants presented the center’s projects and its specialized sectors in areas such as health, childhood, engineering, programming, artificial intelligence, translation, and career readiness. They also shared statistics regarding trainees, instructors, and practical training institutions across the various sectors and projects. Additionally, they presented His Holiness with a collection of handmade items created as part of the educational projects by the trainees.
The meeting concluded with a word from Pope Tawadros, during which he praised the service provided by the center and commended all those working in it. He expressed his hope that the center would expand its institutional work. He also spoke about his experience visiting Ahl Masr Hospital for burns treatment, highlighting the high level of professionalism, development, and the successful institutional model that started small and grew to become a significant medical establishment in its field.
