This evening, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II met with the teachers participating in the 2025 Summer Language Program. This program is one of the initiatives of the Papal Office for Projects, held for the ninth consecutive year, with the participation of volunteer teachers from the United States, France, Germany, and Egypt.

His Holiness expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the volunteer teachers for their sincere and ongoing efforts, which have played a significant role in the program’s success. He praised their spirit of cooperation and dedication in serving the students and encouraging them to develop their language skills. Pope Tawadros also presented certificates of appreciation to the participating teachers in recognition of their outstanding contributions.

His Holiness also met with the students taking part in the program and praised their enthusiasm for learning languages, emphasizing the importance of language acquisition in today’s world. He affirmed that learning new languages opens broader horizons for knowledge and global communication. At the end of the meeting, he took a commemorative photo with the students.

The Summer Language Program aims to develop the language skills of young people from various governorates. This year, the program benefitted 446 students from several governorates including Cairo, Helwan, Alexandria and Qena. Educational courses were offered in English, French and German, helping to enhance the students’ academic and practical capabilities.
