This morning (Monday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II cast his vote in the Senate elections at the Martyr Emtyaz Mohamed Kamel School polling station, located in the Al-Wayli district, where his name is registered in the electoral rolls.

Upon completing his national duty, His Holiness expressed to several news agencies and media outlets his joy in participating in the legislative elections, which hold particular significance as they grant every citizen the right to freely express their opinion.

He continued: “Legislative councils contribute to nation-building, as they reflect the voice of the people and work to address their concerns.”

Pope Tawadros emphasized that citizens’ participation in the Senate elections enhances Egypt’s honorable image before the world.

He called upon all Egyptians, both young and old, to be keen on participating in this national entitlement, which requires only a few minutes of one’s time.

He further noted that a member of the Senate must possess several qualities: to be honest, loyal, and influential; to base his words on scientific facts rather than mere pursuit of fame; and to work solely for the good of the nation. “Egypt is a great country and deserves nothing less than what befits it,” he affirmed.
