On Thursday, H.H. Pope Tawadros II visited the annual refresher training for the servants of the Bishopric of General, Social, and Ecumenical Services, which is presently being held at Saint Verena House, in Abu Talat, Agamy, Alexandria, under the auspices of the same bishopric.
His Holiness was received by H.G. Bishop Yolyos, General Bishop of Old Cairo and the Bishopric of Services, together with the priests, program directors, and coordinators of the geographical sectors.
This refresher training is held annually with the purpose of strengthening the efficiency and abilities of the servants of the Bishopric of Services. This year’s training bears the theme: “Be Kind.” It includes practical workshops as well as spiritual subjects.
Pope Tawadros delivered unto them a spiritual word, wherein he addressed five spiritual principles for effective ministry. H.G. Bishop Yolyos presented a statistical report concerning the servants and the service of the bishopric. Likewise, the coordinators and field servants presented the main accomplishments attained through the bishopric’s ministry, and the measure of positive impact within the most needy communities, wherein the bishopric seeks to contribute to the elevation of human life, the improvement of living standards, the establishment of the values of justice and equality, and the empowerment of society in all its diversities and groups.
