Today (Monday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo, Dr. Stefan Hesse, Archbishop of Hamburg and Chairman of the Migration Committee of the German Bishops’ Conference, accompanied by a German ecclesiastical delegation.

The meeting addressed the situation of refugees and the efforts of the churches in serving them, particularly in light of the Sudanese crisis. The Archbishop commended the role of the Coptic Orthodox Church in supporting refugees, while His Holiness emphasized the importance of ecclesiastical cooperation and service to those in need as a testimony to Christian love.
