Today (Tuesday), at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received a group of youth and servants from our churches in Toronto, Canada, accompanied by the Monk Hegumen Wissa St. Bishoy, as part of their service visit to Egypt.
During the meeting, His Holiness expressed his joy at the enthusiasm of the youth and their readiness to serve. He listened attentively to their expectations and initial impressions of the archaeological sites and ecclesiastical landmarks they had visited. The group, during this visit, provides educational and awareness services in a number of churches located in underprivileged areas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness presented them with commemorative gifts.
It is worth noting that this service visit was arranged through the “HIGH” Office, responsible for coordinating service between the dioceses abroad and the areas in need within Egypt. The office was established by a decision of the Holy Synod in March 2024, and its name, “HIGH,” stands for “Hands in God’s Hand.”
