In light of the Coptic Orthodox Church’s Celebration of the 17th Centenary of the Council of Nicaea, we recommend the following:
An icon of Saint Athanasius the Apostolic to be placed before the iconostasis, next to the patron saint of the church, in all churches of the See of St. Mark, during the period from the beginning of the new Coptic year (1742 A.M.) until the end of the current Gregorian year 2025 A.D.
A verse dedicated to the patriarchal fathers (Athanasius, Cyril, and Dioscorus) to be added to the Hymn of the Intercessions (Hi ten Epresvia) in the daily liturgies during the aforementioned period.
