The Coptic Orthodox Church wishes to draw attention to the fact that there is an individual who falsely claims his name to be Father Boulos Faragalla, and further alleges that he is a priest and head of the churches of the Cathedral of Saint Mary. He also appears wearing attire resembling the well-known vestments of the priests of the Coptic Orthodox Church.

This individual maintains a page on the social media platform ‘Facebook’, through which he presents himself as a priest and appears in the aforementioned vestments.

To prevent any confusion among the members of the Church, we hereby caution all our children against dealing with him as a Coptic priest.

We also take this opportunity to emphasize the importance of verifying the identity of any person wearing clerical attire, in all its ranks, before engaging with him.
