This evening, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Professor Dr. Michel Abs, Secretary-General of the Middle East Council of Churches, at the Papal Residence in the Monastery of Saint Bishoy in Wadi El-Natroun.

Dr. Abs is currently visiting Egypt to participate in the Conference on Faith and the Environment: Preserving God’s Beautiful Creation. During the meeting, he briefed His Holiness on the Council’s current activities, as well as its programs promoting social coexistence, mutual respect, and peacebuilding.

His Holiness commended these constructive efforts and conveyed his greetings to all the members of the Council and its various committees.
