The Coptic Orthodox Church, under the leadership of H.H. Pope Tawadros II, welcomes the signing of the agreement to end the war in Gaza, which took place today in Sharm El-Sheikh — the Land of Peace — through significant Egyptian efforts, as part of the peace initiative led by U.S. President Donald Trump.
As the Church blesses this agreement, which ensures the end of the multifaceted humanitarian tragedy endured by the Palestinian people over the past two years, it expresses deep appreciation for the pivotal role of the Egyptian state, in all its institutions, and above all, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who spared no effort to end this catastrophic situation and steadfastly upheld the cause of peace in the region with honor, integrity, clarity, and firmness.
We pray to our God, the Prince of Peace, to grant His everlasting peace upon our region, to bless all peacemakers, and to bestow tranquility and stability upon the whole world.
