H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo a delegation of members from the Lausanne Initiative, accompanied by H.G. Bishop Angaelos, Bishop of London and Co-Chair of the Initiative representing the Orthodox family. The visit took place at the conclusion of their 13th International Conference, held at the LOGOS Center in the Monastery of Saint Bishoy, Wadi El-Natroun. This marks the second time that the Coptic Orthodox Church has hosted the Initiative’s annual conference, the first being in 2019.
The 13th conference focused on the rich heritage of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the Council of Nicaea and its enduring monastic traditions, which continue to flourish to this day.
The Lausanne Initiative was established in 2012 and brings together Orthodox and Evangelical Christians from around the world to cooperate in the field of evangelism.
