Today (Friday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo, a group of youth and servants from the Church of Saint Mark the Apostle and Saint Bishoy in Dubai, accompanied by Father Morcos Stephanos. The visit comes as part of their service trip to Egypt, organized by the Papal Office for Service Weeks (HIGH Office).
The Papal Office for Service Weeks is considered one of the pastoral initiatives aimed at building strong bridges of communication with the second- and third-generation youth of the Coptic Church in the diaspora by providing opportunities to visit Egypt and participate in spiritual and service-oriented activities that strengthen their connection to their ecclesiastical and national roots.
During the meeting, His Holiness expressed his joy at this visit, encouraging the youth to continue working and serving with love and humility, and emphasizing the importance of each young person feeling that he or she has an active and vital role in the Mother Church.
The youth delegation’s visit includes a diverse spiritual and service program, in addition to visits to various ecclesiastical and service institutions across the country.
