Today (Friday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II anointed the relics of Saint John Kama the Priest at the Monastery of Virgin Mary and Saint John Kama (El-Sourian) in Wadi El-Natroun.

His Holiness delivered a relevant spiritual talk to the monks.

Participating in the anointing of the relics, alongside H.G. Bishop Mataoes (Bishop and Abbot of the Monastery), were several other bishops.

Saint John Kama is considered one of the great fathers of monasticism in the Wilderness of Scetis in the ninth century AD, and many monks were discipled under his guidance.
