His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received, on Sunday, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, Minister of Interior, accompanied by members of the Supreme Council of the Police, who came to extend greetings to His Holiness on the occasion of the New Year and the Glorious Feast of the Nativity.

His Holiness expressed his joy at their visit and greetings, commending the role of police personnel and their various agencies, as well as the efforts they exert in preserving security and stability throughout Egypt.

For his part, the Minister of Interior expressed his happiness with the longstanding annual tradition of meeting with His Holiness to offer Nativity greetings, praising His Holiness’s national role and affirming that the homeland relies on the sincere efforts of all devoted national figures.
