His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received, on Monday, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by a delegation of his aides.

Dr. Abdel Aaty extended his greetings to His Holiness on the occasion of the New Year and the Glorious Feast of the Nativity, commending His Holiness’s national role.

His Holiness thanked him, affirming that the homeland relies on the sincere efforts of all its faithful sons, each in his respective position. His Holiness also noted that Coptic Orthodox Churches abroad are keen to maintain ongoing communication with Egyptian embassies and support their work.
