H.H. Pope Tawadros II extended his greetings for the blessed occasion of Eid al-Fitr. This took place during the Wednesday meeting held this evening at the Church of Archangel Michael at the Papal Residence in Cairo.
In his message, His Holiness stated:
“I take this opportunity to extend my greetings to our Muslim brethren and to the officials in Egypt, foremost among them His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as well as to all officials in Arab and Islamic countries, on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr. May these days be filled with blessing, happiness, calm, and peace.”
Regarding the ongoing wars, Pope Tawadros said:
“We pray for an end to the current wars, and that God may protect our country and all nations, pour peace into the hearts of leaders, and grant wisdom and prudence for the sake of peace on earth.”
He added: “We pray for the victims, the injured, and those living in anxiety and fear, that God may grant them peace and reassurance.”
