His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received today a number of representatives of political parties, along with current and former officials, who came to the Papal Residence in Cairo to offer their greetings on the occasion of the Glorious Feast of the Resurrection. His Holiness also gave statements to several satellite channels that covered the reception.

Among those who came to offer greetings were Rev. Fr. Philoxenus Issa, Pastor of the Syriac Church in Egypt, as well as delegations from the political parties Mostaqbal Watan, Homat Watan, the Egyptian Democratic Party, Al-Adl Party, Al-Horreya Al-Masry Party, and the Egyptian Liberal Party.

His Holiness also received greetings from Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, as well as delegations from the “Hayah Karima” Foundation, the National Council Supporting the Presidency and the Egyptian State, the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, and the General Syndicate of Media Workers.

Also present to offer greetings were Dr. El-Sayed El-Badawy Shehata, President of Al-Wafd Party, accompanied by a delegation; Counselor Adly Hussein, former Governor of Qalyubia; Dr. Ibrahim Fouzi, former Minister of Industry; and Dr. Rabah Rateb Basta, former Vice President of Beni Suef University.
