His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and the accompanying delegation arrived this evening in the Austrian capital, Vienna, marking the second stop of his overseas tour, which began two days earlier with a visit to Turkey.

His Holiness was received by Ambassador Mohamed Nasr, Egypt’s Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna, and Consul Mohamed El-Behairy.

Also present at the reception were His Grace Bishop Gabriel, Bishop of Austria, along with a number of priests. His Holiness then proceeded to the Monastery of Saint Anthony in Obersiebenbrunn, where he was welcomed by the monastic community of the monastery.
