His Holiness Pope Tawadros II attended this morning the annual celebration of the church choirs of the parishes of the Diocese of Austria.

The celebration was attended, alongside His Grace Bishop Gabriel, Bishop of Austria, by His Eminence Metropolitan Damian, Metropolitan of Northern Germany and Abbot of the Monastery of the Virgin Mary and Saint Maurice in Höxter.

Choirs representing different age groups—children, boys and girls, and youth—presented a selection of church hymns.

At the conclusion of the celebration, His Holiness the Pope commended all aspects of the choirs, including the words, melodies, and performance, praising the leadership and service of the choir servants.

His Holiness also emphasized that the Resurrection remains a continual source of joy for the Church throughout the entire year.
