His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received a phone call this morning from His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, Pope of the Vatican, on the occasion of the Day of Friendship between the Coptic Orthodox and Catholic Churches, which is celebrated annually on May 10, affirming the deep bonds of love, cooperation, and Christian fraternity shared between the two Churches.

This fraternal gesture reflects the message of peace and love, which remains the fundamental mission of all Churches throughout the world, and reaffirms that sincere love is always capable of building bridges of understanding and bringing hearts closer together.
