His Holiness Pope Tawadros II attended today, Friday, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, the graduation ceremony of a new class from the St. Didymus Institute for Cantors.
The ceremony included a video presentation highlighting the institute’s activities, performances of Coptic hymns by the institute’s choir, a speech by one of the graduates in Arabic, another in English, and an address by Hegumen Fr. Fam St. Paul, the monk overseeing the institute.
The ceremony concluded with an address by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, after which His Holiness presented the graduates with their graduation certificates.
Among those in attendance were Their Graces Bishop Makary, Bishop of Sharqia and Tenth of Ramadan, and Bishop Nofir, Bishop of Shibin El Qanater.
