Today (Sunday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.G. Bishop Yolyos, General Bishop of Old Cairo and Bishop of Public, Ecumenical, and Social Services, accompanied by a group of servants from the bishopric, a delegation from the “Youth of Egypt Impact” initiative, and members of the service team of the Church of Virgin Mary in Zamalek. The delegation had participated in the Employment Forum held at St. Mark’s Cathedral on Saturday, 20 June.

The delegation expressed its appreciation for His Holiness’ continued support of community and development initiatives aimed at empowering young people and helping them address the challenges of the labor market. They noted that the Employment Forum witnessed strong and meaningful participation from both youth and the companies and institutions involved.

For his part, His Holiness commended the efforts made in organizing the forum and praised the spirit of cooperation and joint work between the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical, and Social Services and the Youth of Egypt Impact initiative. He emphasized the important role of the Church in serving society, supporting young people, and creating new opportunities for them, thereby contributing to human development and service to the nation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation in order to provide further developmental and service-oriented initiatives that benefit young people and society as a whole.

Among those present from the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical, and Social Services were Hegumen Rafaeel Tharwat, Deputy of the Bishop for Services; the monk Father Leazar El-Muharraqi, Program Development Consultant; and Dr. Ghada Barsoum, Vice Chair of the Board.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Kyrillos Habib, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Youth of Egypt Impact initiative.
