Today (Monday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services and the Sonaa El Kheir (Doers of Good) Foundation for Development. The ceremony took place at the Papal Headquarters in Cairo.
The protocol aims to strengthen joint cooperation in the fields of development and community service between the Bishopric and the Sonaa El Kheir Foundation, both of which are members of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work. It also seeks to expand social and humanitarian initiatives that support the most vulnerable segments of society, inspired by the mission of love and service embraced by the Coptic Orthodox Church and civil society organizations.
Both parties emphasized the importance of partnership and institutional cooperation between the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services and development organizations in achieving a sustainable and meaningful positive impact in service to Egyptian society.
Representing the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services were H.G. Bishop Yolyos (General Bishop of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services), Hegumen Rafaeel Tharwat (Bishop’s Deputy), Fr. Antonious Sobhy (Program Development Consultant), and Dr. Ghada Barsoum (Vice Chair of the Bishopric’s Board), together with members of the Bishopric’s executive leadership.
Representing the Sonaa El Kheir Foundation for Development were Dr. Mostafa Zamzam (Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Rania Alwan (Board Member), Dr. Corinne Shenouda (Board Member), and Dr. Hany Abdel Fattah (Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation).
