H.H. Pope Tawadros II received, at the Papal Headquarters in Cairo, a group of youth and servants from the Diocese of New York and New England, accompanied by Fr. Mark Sharobim, Fr. Michael Artin, and Deacon Abraam, at the beginning of their service visit to Egypt.
During their visit, the servants are scheduled to provide a number of educational and awareness services in a number of churches located in the areas of greatest need.
His Holiness expressed his joy at witnessing the enthusiasm of the youth and their readiness to serve. He also took the time to listen to their questions and their impressions of their first visit to Egypt.
The service program for the Boston group in Egypt was organized through the “HIGH” Office, which is responsible for coordinating service efforts between the dioceses abroad and communities in need within Egypt. The office was established by a decision of the Holy Synod in March 2024 and carries the name HIGH, which is an abbreviation for: “Hands in God’s Hand.”
