The Coptic Orthodox Church, under the leadership of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, mourns the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the father of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.

The Church extends its heartfelt condolences to the State of Qatar—its Amir, government, and people—as well as to the members of the esteemed Al Thani family. We pray that God grants them comfort, consolation, and patience in the loss of this distinguished father, who made significant contributions to the progress and advancement of his country across all fields.
