Today (Monday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II prayed the consecration prayers for two consecrated sisters at the Daughters of Mary Convent in Ezbet El-Nakhl, which is affiliated with the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate. This followed their successful completion of the probationary period for the consecrated virgin life. The newly consecrated sisters are Tasoni Aghapy and Tasony Anasimone.

In the same context, three consecration candidates were accepted to begin their probationary period.

His Holiness delivered a sermon, in which he addressed the foundations of consecrated life: love, contentment, and faithfulness.

The prayers were attended by the community of consecrated sisters of the Daughters of Mary Convent.

Pope Tawadros also met today with the administration of Al-Mahabba Private School in Ezbet El-Nakhl, which is affiliated with the Daughters of Mary Convent, together with the students who achieved the top ten positions in the Preparatory Certificate examination at the school.

His Holiness congratulated them on their success and outstanding achievement, commending their diligence and the support they received from the school administration and teachers, which resulted in their success and excellence. He also spoke to them about the foundations of success.

His Holiness listened to two poems recited by a male and a female student. One of the students also expertly chanted a Church hymn, earning the admiration and praise of His Holiness.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness honoured the top-performing students and presented them with commemorative gifts.
