Today, Saturday, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received His Eminence Metropolitan Youannes, Metropolitan of Assiut, and Secretary of the Holy Synod, at the Papal Residence in Cairo.

His Eminence extended his greetings to His Holiness on the occasion of the Feast of St. Mary and presented a report on the celebrations of St. Mary at her monastery in Drunka, Assiut.

His Holiness commended the role of all state authorities, including the security, parliamentary, executive, and community bodies, and praised the Governor of Assiut for his attention to the celebrations and his visit to the monastery.

His Holiness also inquired about the large crowds attending throughout the days of the celebrations, praying for the blessings of St. Mary upon our beloved country, Egypt.
