St .Verena Nursing Training Center

    • What is St. Verena Nursing Training Center?

    St. Verena Training Center is a project that provides training courses in nursing principles and elderly medical & health care.

    • What are the main objectives of the center?

    The main objectives of the center are:

    1- Contributing to spread health and cultural awareness in the local community.

    2- Contributing to train young people of both sexes and qualifying them for labor market.

    3- Participating to eliminate unemployment and creating new job opportunities for young men and women.

    4- Participating in filling the local community’s need for nursing and caregivers for the elderly.

    • What are the target groups for the center?

    The target groups are young men and women from age of 18 to 45 from the suburbs of Cairo and governorates, and they don’t have any job and want to work in the field of nursing service and health care for the elderly.

    • What does the center offer to the trainees?
    • A training course in nursing principles and health care (a morning course for greater Cairo residents).
    • A training course in nursing principles and health care (intensive morning and evening courses for governorates residents).
    • A training course in nursing and elderly health care (to work at elderly homes or take care of them at their own homes).
    • What are the advantages offered by the center to the trainees?
    1. The training courses includes:
    • Theoretical lectures (study books are free).
    • Practical training on the medical dolls in the center’s laboratory.
    • Practical training in clinics, hospitals and elderly homes.
      1. Transfer allowance for residents in far places.
      2. A full board accommodation for trainees from governorates.
      3. Medical insurance throughout the training period.
      4. Vaccinating trainees against diseases that workers in the medical community are exposed to.
      5. Provide nutritious meals.
      6. Religious and recreational trips.
    • The study and all the previous features are completely free.
    1. Paying a financial reward monthly basis on the condition of regular attendance and good performance in periodic examinations.
    • What are the certificates obtained by the trainee?
    1. Certificate of St. Verena Training Center.
    2. First Aid Certificate from The Red Crescent Organization.
    3. Basics of Geriatric Care Certificate from Ain Shams University.

    • Does the center provide job opportunities for trainees?

    Yes, the center provides job opportunities for trainees in:

    • Hospitals, treatment centers and medical laboratories.
    • Private clinics as well as dental clinics.
    • Elderly homes and elderly care at home.
    • What are the conditions for applying to the center?

    The application is available throughout the year, male and female applicants are accepted, with taking the following into consideration:

    1. The applicant must be at least 18 years old and not more than 45 years old.
    2. The applicant carries a qualification (diploma/ qualified above average /high school/bachelor).
    3. The applicant must pass the admission tests.
