LOGOS Junior Forum
LOGOS Junior Forum
In 2018, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II launched the LOGOS Coptic Youth Forum under the theme, “Back to the Roots, Enjoy the Roots” marking a significant turning point in the vision and ministry of youth within the Coptic Orthodox Church. The forum contributed to advancing youth ministry through a renewed vision and methodology, reconnecting young generations with the roots of the Orthodox faith and their ecclesiastical identity, which had a positive impact on pastoral service across various dioceses.
Building on this pastoral vision and continuing the journey of LOGOS, His Holiness has launched a new initiative, the LOGOS Junior Forum. This initiative is founded on the belief that true human formation begins in the earliest stages of life, when every child is like a “seed” that, if planted and nurtured well, will bear good fruit in the future.
The concept of the LOGOS Junior Forum is inspired by the Parable of the Sower in the Holy Bible, which teaches that the seed that bears fruit thirty-, sixty-, and a hundredfold is the one that falls on good soil. Based on this biblical principle, the forum identified the essential foundations that represent this “good soil” believing that when these foundations are established early in a child’s life, they will produce abundant fruit in the years to come.
The LOGOS Junior Forum is built around three main pillars:
The First Pillar is Self-Knowledge and Personal Development: helping each child discover who they are, recognize their talents and abilities, and develop a lifelong habit of balanced personal growth.
The Second Pillar is Pride in the Church: by strengthening the child’s relationship with the Church, the Holy Bible, the liturgical life, and the rich traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Church, enabling them to grow firm in faith and deeply rooted in their Orthodox identity.
The Third Pillar is Love for the Homeland and a Sense of Belonging: by fostering an appreciation of the nation’s history, heritage, and civilization, encouraging each child to grow with a genuine love for their country, an awareness of its value, and a desire to serve it faithfully.
Together, these three pillars form the good soil in which the seed is planted from an early age. When nurtured in such an environment, the child grows to bear abundant fruit, becoming in the future a person who serves their Church, their homeland, and their community with faithfulness and purpose.
