CTV is a Coptic Orthodox Christian channel, under the patronage of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate, his presidency for us continued for many years and long peaceful times. The channel presents all kinds of arts and television programs that reflect the authenticity, essence and integrity of the Orthodox faith and the mission of the Church based on love and peace within a framework of media professionalism. The pilot broadcast was launched on Nov. 12th,2007 and the first event was broadcast live after only two days on Nov. 14th,2007. This event was the celebration of the 36th feast of the consecration of our departed father, Pope Shenouda III, at St. Mark's Cathedral in Abbasia. Live broadcasts via the Internet have been added not much later to serve the Church's children all over the world who cannot watch the channel’s broadcast on television. Then, after this, the live broadcasts of iPhone, iPad and Android devices were also added so that church members who use these devices can watch the live broadcast of the channel at any time, even if they are not in front of a TV or computer screen
