This convent is located in the city of Warren, in the American state of Ohio.
The story of establishing this convent began during the papacy of the late His Holiness Pope Shenouda III. This was due to the need for a convent for nuns in the United States of America, as there used to be monasteries for monks only without convents for nuns.
The number of women who desired to become nuns, and their need for spiritual retreats became motives to buy this convent. This began in February 2011, when Bishop Botros negotiated the purchase of this place which originally was a convent belonging the Catholic Church.
After His Holiness Pope Tawadros II was ordained as patriarch, he began caring for and looking after the convent. In November 2013, the responsibility over the convent was handed to a virtuous nun called Mother Marina Awad from the convent of Saint Virgin Mary in Zeweila and El-Nobariya. This responsibility was comprehensive, including the spiritual aspects as well as the establishment of the convent, in terms of reconstruction and extensions.
The convent was honored by the visit of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II on the 26th and 27th of September 2018. After this visit, the convent was officially recognized by the Holy Synod on the 13th of June 2019.
