The Thrice-Blessed H.G. Bishop Youhanna, the General Bishop, who reposed in the Lord at approximately 76 years of age, following more than half a century of monastic life, including 35 years of service as a General Bishop.

The revered departed Bishop dedicated himself wholly to God, leaving the world and journeying into the wilderness, walking the path of monasticism in order to gain Christ and be found in Him.

When he was called to receive the episcopal rank, he submitted and served with complete sincerity, offering a dedicated and faithful ministry. His years of service as secretary to the Thrice-Blessed H.H. Pope Shenouda III bear witness to his devotion and love for the Church, as well as his diligence and faithfulness in all things.
