In April 2021, in the presence of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, the Papal Office for Projects launched the “SHE CAN” initiative to support struggling girls and women, assure them of their ability to achieve their dreams and encourage them to work. The initiative aims to empower women through small income-generating projects. After launching the initiative, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II honored a group of women as “shining role models,” who successfully managed their small income-generating projects and shared their stories with other suffering women. This was an encouraging message for every woman to earn her own income and support her family.
