The session came on the occasion of Egyptian Women’s Day, March 16, 2022. The main speaker in the session was the writer Nashwa Al-Hofy, who gave a speech about the role of women in promoting a culture of peace in Egypt and how Egyptian women were able, during a long journey in which they persevered to obtain their rights, until they now hold the highest positions in the state. Under a conscious leadership that believes in the role of women and realizes the importance of women’s participation as an active partner in the development and peacemaking process.
This session was held in cooperation with the National Council for Women and the Peacemakers Committee within the Coptic Orthodox Church.
