«Let brotherly love continue» (Hebrews 13:1)
Most Holy Father, beloved brother in Christ,
As we recall today is the seventh anniversary of our fraternal meeting held in Rome on May 10th, 2013, the day of friendship between the Catholic Church and the Coptic Orthodox Church, I›m glad that throughout the past years we have managed to further strengthen the ties between our two churches.
It is a great blessing that through our spiritual bonds and love for one another, people will know that we are his disciples. May we continue to show the world the same brotherly embrace we show to one another, through making «every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace» (Eph 4:3),
As we approach the feast of the Pentecost, I pray that the gift of the Holy Spirit may fill our hearts with joy, peace, and love. May the Lord strengthen all those suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that has claimed tens of thousands of victims worldwide. Let us pray that the Spirit of Pentecost brings hope to everyone suffering today.
May I take this opportunity to assure your holiness of my prayers to you in your lofty and important ministry, wishing you good health and spiritual fortitude.
With fraternal love and blessings.
