On Tuesday evening, the “Holy Footsteps” festival began at 6:30 pm to celebrate the Feast of Christ’s Entry into Egypt, organized by the Martyria Foundation for Culture and Development, at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Maadi, in the presence of H.H. Pope Tawadros II and several ministers, bishops, officials, and public figures.
The festival consisted of various speeches given by H.H. Pope Tawadros II, Ambassador Nabila Makram the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates, H.G. Bishop Daniel the bishop of Maadi and General Secretary of the Holy Synod, Dr. Ghada Shalaby the Vice Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Dr. Sherine Seif the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Martyria Foundation for Culture and Development, followed by the presentation of a documentary film on the Holy Family’s journey into Egypt and other musicals.
