Today H.H. Pope Tawadros II celebrated the divine liturgy at the Church of Transfiguration in the Logos Center of the papal residence in St. Bishoy Monastery, Wadi El-Natrun; with the first group of mentors responsible for the training of 1,000 church educators and concluding the events of the conference which started four days ago at the Logos Center.
The conference began last Thursday and ends this afternoon. It was attended by 73 priests and male and female servants from 23 dioceses – distinguished for their roles throughout the three levels in H.H. the Pope’s development of Church education project “Renew our days as of old… the Heritage of our Church is Spirit and Life,” in the training of 1,000 church educators. The content of the conference focused on the informational skills the mentor is to be equipped with in his service and education, through workshops designed for developing these skills. At the end of the workshops, the participants were split up into smaller groups of five to six people, during which they prepared a variety of projects in which they applied what they have learned in the conference’s workshops.
Yesterday evening H.H. met with the mentors present and delivered the final lecture of the conference.
