This evening, H.H. Pope Tawadros II held the weekly Wednesday meeting at the papal residence in Cairo. The sermon was broadcast live on Christian satellite channels, and the C.O.C. Channel of Church’s Media Center online without the attendance of the public.
In today’s sermon H.H. continued his sermon titled “Epistle of Joy,” which he began last week through a reading of the Epistle to the Philippians that is characterized by its spirit of joy.
H.H. had indicated at the beginning of his sermon last week, of the return of the meeting now that the period of the Holy Fifty Days has concluded, and that during the upcoming weeks he will be addressing topics of Joy through a reading of the chapters of the Epistle to the Philippians, also known as the “Epistle of Joy.” H.H also pointed out that people currently need to feel joy and reassurance after we have gone through painful periods due to the novel coronavirus as the number of people infected begins to gradually decrease.
