Today, at the Papal Residence of the Monastery of St. Bishoy, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Dr. Ashraf Sobhy the Minister of Youth and Sports.

This meeting came within the activities of the first Logos Forum for the youth of the Coptic Orthodox Church under the title: “Enjoy the Roots,” which is to run for a period of eight days at the Logos Center within the same Residence, where Dr. Sobhy met with youth of the forum and spoke to them about the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cultivating a spirit of belonging among young people and youth.

Regarding the participants of the forum, H.H. the Pope said, “They are the youth of our churches and dioceses, along the valley in Upper Egypt, Lower Egypt and Sinai, and from Cairo and Alexandria.”

He added, “In this meeting, we are endeavoring to enjoy the ancient Egyptian roots for our youth in Egypt and abroad, and that there be a strong connection with the seed planted by St. Mark in the land of the city of Alexandria.” Noting that the Logos Youth Forum will be held over a period of eight days, with 200 young men and women participating in a comprehensive and focused program full of beautiful surprises.
