Today, H.H. Pope Tawadros II held a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Holy Synod, which includes the Heads of the Holy Synod Committees, and 6 Metropolitans in addition to the Secretariat of the Holy Synod, at the papal Residence in Cairo.
During the meeting, a number of important topics were discussed in the field of ecumenical relations of the Coptic Church and some ecclesiastical administrative arrangements, including educational institutes and issues related to monastic affairs and monasteries inside and outside Egypt, as well as the nominations of new bishops. The session ended with a set of important recommendations that will be presented at the session of the Holy Synod scheduled for next June 9th.
