Today, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Dr. Ahmed Elshoky, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, Ain Shams University, and Dr. Nora Mohamed, Professor of the Coptic Archeology studies at the university. As they thanked his Holiness for participating in opening the first international conference for the Coptic archeology at Ain Shams University last Saturday and for his significant speech, which he highlighted through it the importance of the Coptic studies and the value of the Coptic language through history.
The faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University had organized the first international conference for the Coptic archeology in collaboration with the association of the Coptic archeology and the French institute of Eastern archeology in Egypt, and during the time of the conference, there were 120 studies were submitted in which 45 of them were discussed during the conference.
