His Holiness Pope Tawadros meets the Bishops of Europe via Zoom on Tuesday during their gathering conference which is currently in Dublin and hosted by the Diocese of Ireland, Scotland and North east of England and its Affiliated regions.
His Holiness gave a talk at the beginning of the meeting, where he expressed his happiness with the meeting which is their first meeting. He also thanked Bishop Antony, Bishop of the Diocese of Ireland and it is affiliated regions for hosting the meeting.
His Holiness addressed the topic of “The Importance of Joint Work” and he spoke about this through St. Paul’s first Epistle to Timothy.
His Holiness referred to what our church teaches us through fasting which helps us to train our senses. His Holiness also spoke about how to tackle and deal with problems through longsuffering, patience and prayers as well as the role of the Diocese’s Bishop in forming a firm foundation and creating a clear administrative structure to ensure appropriate role distribution and caring for the third and fourth generations and understanding their needs and to abide them in our church.
His Holiness also talked to the Bishops to encourage people in their diocese to participate in Theological studies and Academic education and to pay attention to the International Coptic Day which some dioceses have recently started to celebrate it on the 1st of June, on the Feast of the Entry of our Lord Jesus Christ into the land of Egypt.
His Holiness also pointed out the importance of holding gatherings like this on a regular basis because it will be beneficial for better communication, exchanging experiences, unity of thoughts and contributing more to working jointly together.
His Holiness also spoke to the Bishops about to be keen on rooting the life of monasticism in our monasteries in Europe.
