H.H. then explained three points from the sayings of St. John Chrysostom:
– “How beautiful is the icon of Christ that is drawn in the tears of a repentant man”: The tears of a repentant man are the most beautiful icon that presents to us a true image of Christ, and it is the image that the seminarian should present (as a student or teacher), through his repentance and piety and not just though his knowledge.
– “A face that has been sanctified by the sign of the Cross cannot bow before Satan”: A seminarian should be careful not to fall into sins that Satan spreads so he does not take part in the sins of this era.
– “It is not important to be a sun, a moon or even a star, but what is important is to be in Heaven”: You should not seek to be famous but rather seek the Kingdom of Heaven.
