H.H. offered his condolences to the clergy and congregation of the Diocese of Mansoura for the departure of H.G. Bishop Dawoud, the Bishop of the Diocese, pointing out that H.G. lived in monasticism for about 33 years, preceded by a period of time where he worked as an engineer through which he had served his community and country.
This was at the beginning of the weekly sermon which was held this evening at St. Mary and St. Bishoy’ Church in Abbaseya.
H.H. commended that H.G. Bishop Dawoud was enduring his sicknesses with gratitude and patience throughout the past years. H.H. said: “Today, we farewell H.G. Bishop Dawoud, Bishop of Mansoura. He is a blessed father who have served the Diocese for about 20 years and lived in monasticism for about 33 years. He was an engineer and worked for a period of time where he served his community and country. God allowed him to carry a cross of sickness in the past years where he endured with gratitude and patience until rested in peace yesterday and today was his funeral in the Archdiocese in Mansoura. We ask him to pray for us and we send our condolences to the clergy and congregation on Mansoura and I ask them to pray that God chooses a good shepherd for them.
