This afternoon, at the Papal Residence in Alexandria, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received a delegation of the monks, nuns, officers and managers of Christian Schools in Alexandria, headed by Fr Antonios Ghattas, Coptic Catholics Patriarchal Vicar in Alexandria and Former Secretary General of Catholic Schools in Egypt and the Middle East.
H.H. welcomed the visitors and wished them a happy new year. H.H. then gave a speech about the Joy of Christmas and its joyful signs, and the role of Christian schools in spreading education and participating in the upbringing of an educated generation.
The meeting was attended by H.G. Bishop Pavly, General Bishop of Montaza, Alexandria and Fr Abraam Emil, the Patriarch Vicar of Alexandria.
