Today, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, Minister of Interior, accompanied by a delegation of the Ministry leaders, and this is to congratulate H.H. on Christmas.

The Prime Minister expressed his sincere congratulations and the Police Authority on Christmas, from which we derive feelings of love and peace and sincere expressions of appreciation and respect, commending the honorable national role of the Church in spreading the values of tolerance and love among all the people of the country, stressing that Egyptian history is full of many events that recorded the positions of the Egyptian Church, as it was always in the forefront to face attempts of separating the people in the country who are uniquely united.

H.H. Pope Tawadros II commended the role and sacrifices of the Policemen to achieve the security of the homeland and the safety of citizens, stressing the solidarity and support of the people for its institutions, foremost of which is the Egyptian security system, which plays a role and carries a noble message in order to consolidate the foundations of stability and protect the gains of the civilisational revival that the country is witnessing.
