Today, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly, to congratulate H.H. on Christmas, after his return from Sohag Governorate.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his sincere wishes in this precious occasion to His Holiness the Pope, and the Christians in Egypt and abroad, and with continued health and prosperity.
H.H. expressed his appreciation for the Christmas congratulations of the Prime Minister, after a long day in Sohag.
H.H. Pope Tawadros II wished the Egyptian government more success in the progress of construction, and hoping that God will bless Egypt and its people with lasting security and prosperity.
H.H. Pope Tawadros II expressed his appreciation to the government’s efforts to communicate effectively with the public, by the use of modern tools such as the “infographic”, and by the Information Center of the Council of Ministers, which facilitate access to information in an accurate and simplified way.
H.H. also wished that Egypt would pass through all the current challenges in peace, mentioning the association of the beginning of the year with the festive season as a positive sign that gives hope for overcoming any crisis, saying “Despite the difficulties, the hand of God will not leave Egypt.”
H.H. stressed that the visit today to Sohag Governorate is an important message that reflects the Government’s care for Upper Egypt and its people.
The Prime Minister then stressed that Egypt, God willing, is able to overcome the economical challenges that is facing the world, stressing the Government’s determination to continue the efforts of construction and development.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly also mentioned that there are many projects currently being carried out in Upper Egypt that aims to improve the residents over there.
