Today, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production and Armed Forces, accompanied by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches and a number of leaders of the Armed Forces, where they have congratulated H.H. on Christmas.
Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, affirmed that Egypt will remain strong with the unity of its people, and that the men of the Armed Forces place Egypt’s security above all considerations, ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the homeland, mentioning that the armed forces will remain at the forefront of the forces of the state to build a bright future for our homeland, so that construction and giving continues in all parts of the country, also expressing the Armed Forces’ pride in the national stances of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, praying to God to return this occasion to Egypt and the Egyptians with security and stability.
H.H. Pope Tawadros II commended the role of the Egyptian Army in helping the country and protecting its security and stability, stressing that all Egyptians are united in the heart of one man in order to achieve development for our dear Egypt, noting that Christmas represents new hope and a bright future for Egypt.
