This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the new Administrative Capital, to congratulate H.H. and Christians on Christmas, and this was during the Nativity Liturgy.
His Excellency was met with great applause, and His Excellency was keen to shake hands with a large number of attendees , congratulating them on Christmas, in an atmosphere filled with love, appreciation and hospitality on their part.
During his speech, his Excellency congratulated the attendees and all Egyptians on Christmas and expressed his wishes that the new year would be a year of goodness, love and peace in the whole world, not only in Egypt.
His Excellency also said that he has all the appreciation, respect and pride for His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, and mentioned that these feelings are confirmed each time his Excellency hears speeches of H.H.
His Excellency emphasized that our love for each other must be without discrimination, and that we strive to plant this love in future generations, and affirm that we are one and that no forms of division will succeed to separates between us.
His Excellency also added that he feels and notices the concerns of the Egyptians, and emphasized his happiness with the Egyptians’ fear for the country. His Excellency sent messages to the Egyptians, stressing the transparency of the state’s leadership with the Egyptians.
His Excellency called on everyone not to follow irresponsible people who do not know all the details that occur in various issues, and added that each person knows according to his responsibility, just as no one knows more about Church affairs than His Holiness.
His Excellency repeated the call to the Egyptians not to be afraid, because “God is present and will not leave us.” His Excellency stressed that the Egyptian state is keen to lessen the effects of the global crisis that will cause changes the world, and is moving at a steady pace despite the economic suffering, and stressed that the political leaders will not take action without involving the people, and that we will not abandon Egypt in any distress.
